Obituary of Denise E. Collins

WADDINGTON – Graveside services for Denise E. Collins, 69, a resident of Waddington, NY and formerly of Hopkinton, NY, will be held on Friday, September 20th at 11 a.m. in the Pleasant Mound Cemetery, Colton with Pastor, Laurena Wills presiding. A Celebration of Life gathering for Denise will be held after the burial at Madrid Community Building at 1 p.m. Denise passed away early Monday morning, September 16, 2024 at her home with her daughter at her side. Denise is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Collins and her husband, Matt Carr, Waddington; her beloved grandson, Matthew Smith; a step-son, Robert and Michele Collins, Dalton, MA; a brother, Alan and Marcia Bradley, Potsdam and two sisters, Alanna Wright, Ogdensburg and Laurie and Marshall Wright, Colton as well as several nieces and nephews. Denise was pre-deceased by her parents Everett and Margaret and her husband, Mark. Born in Ogdensburg, NY on September 27, 1954 to the late Everett "Flash" and Margaret "Margie" Alford Bradley, Denise graduated from Colton-Pierrepont Central School in 1972 and continued her education at Canton ATC. Denise worked for St Lawrence County as the Deputy County Treasurer for several years, before retiring. In her free time, Denise enjoyed playing puzzle and word games, reading, spending time with /spoiling her grandson and catching up with family/friends/classmates. For many years, Denise and her husband, Mark, enjoyed their time into camp or out on the boat. In lieu of flowers, please consider live plants or dish gardens.
