Suzanne, we are heartbroken about Mark. We love both of you so much and we're blessed to have the most perfect neighbors who became our family. So many of our memories include you both. We smile, and of course I cry, when we share memories of the past with you both. Sending so much love to you. Rest in peace, Mark. Love always, Kim, Keith and Payton

To Mark's Family,
So sorry for your loss. I met Mark in the late 1970's, early 1980's when we played softball for the Pioneers. Mark exuded a quiet confidence and his competitive nature was obvious. We had some great times.

Dear Mark,
We have known each other since you were 6 months old and you and your parents shared Thanksgiving with our family. That Thanksgiving joined our families so close you were the brother I never had!
Oh the memories: climbing the stairs to the apartment where you first lived, avoiding, if possible, your landlady; picnics at Polly's Bay and at Lake Meacham; spending days at the farm and riding those big work horses up to the hayfield; playing ball when you you lived in the Springs; the exciting day you moved into house on Bishop Avenue and your father took down the gate in the fence between our back yards; skating at Alcoa skating rink; calling you to tell you there was an opening at Mater Dei for a biology teacher and sweating through the interview you had with the college president and the joy and excitement when you were hired. Once again we shared back lawns!
I regret that our paths have not crossed in a very long time but your presence in my mind and heart remains. I am so grateful for sharing life with you. I loved you then and continue to do so. Thank you, brother!
Nancy

Our Dearest Mark,
Fifty years of friendship is a milestone that words can hardly capture. From our countless memorable softball games to watching our children grow up side by side, our lives have been intertwined in the most beautiful ways.
We still laugh when we think about you and Bill chasing that bull and bailing hay together, or those summertime BBQs where the laughter never seemed to end. Our endless travels have given us stories to tell for a lifetime, and who could forget about you trying to scare Lisa with “PINAPONA AH AH AH”?
You always had a special bond with Brayden, calling him “Me” and bringing him a 3 Musketeers bar, then playing catch with him. And that spring you made Bill clean the bull pen—only for him to jump over the fence after one too many beers and a close encounter with that darn bull!
Your friendship has been a cornerstone of our life, and we will cherish every moment we’ve shared. You are forever in our hearts and will be deeply missed. May you rest in peace, Mark.
With all our love and gratitude,
Ann & Bill

So sorry to hear of Mark’s passing. I played hockey with Mark at RIT. He was the best goalie that RIT had ever had up to his graduation. He was one of the few hockey players during his era to be inducted into the RIT Sports Hall Of Fame. He was a good friend and terrific teammate. We lost tough through the years since we left RIT but I thought of him often when we would go back to the homecoming games. I know he will be missed by so many friends and family. Bob Burkhard, class of ‘71 RIT.

I was so sorry to hear of Mark's passing. I was one of his former students at Mater Dei. His kindness and patience in the classroom inspired those of us, especially me, who was not always the best student. He would often give us rides to the bus station before a break. He would drop us off on a Friday afternoon, reminding us to not forget the reading assignment that was due on Monday. He was a good teacher. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
