Obituary of Ronald W. Sharlow

NORWOOD – A Celebration of Life gathering for Ronald W. Sharlow, 64, a resident of 199 Lakeshore Drive, Norwood, will be held at the Norfolk American Legion on Saturday, June 1, 2024 starting at 4 p.m. Ronald passed away early Sunday morning, May 12, 2024 at the Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh. Ronald is survived by his wife of 5 years, Lisa, Norwood; his three children, Robert LaRock and his companion Tamee Rood, Massena; Jessica and Kendell Lamb, Norwood and James West Jr. and his companion Annick Hurd, Norfolk; his four beloved grandchildren, Amika LaRock, Phoebe and Quinn Lamb and Carsyn West; two step-brothers, Francis Sharlow of Norfolk and Bradley Sharlow Sr. of Florida, two step-sisters, Toni and Joe Calucci and Joan and Jack Compo, both of Florida as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ronald was pre-deceased by his parents and a brother, Jeffrey Sharlow. Born in Potsdam on October 5, 1959 to the late Leland and Audrey Mattice Sharlow, Ronald graduated from Norwood-Norfolk Central School, Class of 1978. He married his longtime companion of 25 years, Lisa M. Kingsley on October 6, 2018. Ronald worked for J.E. Sheehan Corp. in Potsdam for several years as a truck driver until his retirement. In his free time, Ron enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and camping with family and friends, working on lawnmowers and enjoyed racing, whether he was watching NASCAR or racing at Frogtown Speedway.
