I worked with Joe, at PAC93, in Ogdensburg.
I was the news director, and worked in all 3 studios.
My favorite memory was "Crush the Format" Friday.
I would take my seat in his studio.
Directly behind me was a wallful of LPs, none of which matched our format.
I would reach over my shoulder, and without looking, select a record.
Some of the songs we played during that segment were absolutely awful, but fit so well.
I'm sorry for your loss.
