COLTON—Funeral services for Cynthia M. Erwin, 69, a resident of 99 County Rt. 58, Colton, will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 1 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton with Rev. Joseph Giroux presiding. Burial will be held in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Colton following the services. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mrs. Erwin passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse after a brief stay.
Cynthia is survived by her daughter, Katina "Tina" Erwin and her companion Dan Worden, Russell; her four sons, Branden Erwin and his companion Angela Brewer, Colton; Derrick Erwin, Colton; Shawn Erwin, Colton and Jason Erwin, Rensselaer Falls; her beloved twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two brothers, James and Linda Caster, Ogdensburg; Daniel and Karen Caster, Canton; two sisters, Bonnie Perkins, CT and Kathy Caster and her companion Rod Regan, Colton; brother-in law Cecil Wilcox, Binghamton; sister-in-law Bonnie Caster, Oregon as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members of both her and her late husband Doug's family. Cynthia was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband Douglas, a brother Thomas Caster and a sister, Pam Wilcox.
Born in Potsdam, NY on June 8, 1954 to the late Paul and Mary Fisher Caster, Cynthia graduated from Colton-Pierrepont Central School and married Douglas A. Erwin on November 11, 1972. Doug passed away in May of 2014. Cynthia worked at the Massena Memorial Hospital for over twenty years, retiring as a Health Unit Coordinator. In her spare time, Cynthia enjoyed eating out, collecting items such as Beanie Babies and Disney items, traveling—especially cruises and spending time with her family and friends.
