NORFOLK – Calling hours for Francine M. DeLorenzo, 86, will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 5-8 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk. Mrs. DeLorenzo passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023 at her home with family at her side. Francine is survived by her husband of 47 years, Alexander; her four children, William Daniel and Janet (Sullivan) McCormack, Lancaster, PA; Claudine McCormack, Vestal, NY; Peter DeLorenzo, Potsdam, NY, and Philip DeLorenzo, Redding, CA; her beloved seven grandchildren, Melissa, Heather, Nathaniel, Luc, Max, Annabelle and Gabriella; her six great-grandchildren, Lucy, Luca, Lola, Liam, Anna, and Olivia. Francine is also survived by a brother, Andre Rouleau, Edmonton, Alberta, CA and two sisters, Therese Fecteau, Beauport, Quebec and Sr. Madeleine Rouleau, Quebec City as well as several nieces and nephews. Francine was pre-deceased by her parents and two sisters, Jeannette Lemieux and Lucie Rouleau.
Born in Quebec City, Quebec on November 15, 1936, to the late Lucien and Marguerite (Lemay) Rouleau, Francine graduated from school in Quebec City. Francine learned ballet at Institute Canadien in Quebec where she performed and taught ballet, later performing with the National Ballet of Canada and the Boston Conservatory. Francine married William Daniel McCormack in 1963, and later married Alexander W. DeLorenzo on September 3, 1976. Francine was a devoted mother and homemaker, well-known for her spotless floors, love of baking, and fine seamstress. Francine absolutely loved winter in the North Country--enjoying the snow and Christmas season.
