My many condolences to the family of Jerome, Jerry Wilson, of Colton. I have very fond memories of Jerry, " Mr. Wilson" when he taught mechanical drawing to some members of our class in high school. Not only did he teach mechanical drawing and Industrial Arts but he was our senior yearbook advisor.
Many a night we would be invited to the Wilson's home to plan and edit the yearbook. We always had fun and greatly appreciated the Wilson's hospitality and warmth.
Many years later, I would once again have the opportunity to become reacquainted with this unpretentious yet kindly man, as he and his son, Michael and daughter in law, Jen, also attended the Ogdensburg United Methodist Church. I will very much miss this kindly, soft spoken gentleman.

Mike, Brian and Barb-- I was heart broken to hear of your dad's passing. As I mentioned my sadness of the news, many of my work colleagues said they also knew him. We would run into him at various diners around Potsdam. He always had a smile and would say hello. I will always remember taking class with him at CPCS. All my best for you at this uniquely difficult time.

Deepest condolences. I spent many years in the fire dept with Jerry.....on calls, at field days, dinners, meetings. He was always kind to me. One of our favorite memories would be the Sunday morning breakfasts that he cooked at the old fire stations. My kids loved Jerry's breakfast! May he rest in peace.

Jerry's family,
Please accept our sympathies in your loss. Jerry was one of the Town of Colton's most valued citizens. He was so kind and responsive to my mother when she resided in Hilltop, and he responded to her many calls to the rescue squad.. He was a pallbearer at my grandmother's, [Doris Boyd] funeral in 1978. She was among the hundreds of co-workers with Jerry at CPCS where he worked for 32 years. Back in the 60s in the heyday of TV's Dennis the Menace show, the common call among so many members of the community was to Jerry, "Hey, Mr. Wilson." I can see him smile at that even now. He was so popular among the adult and elder set for the evening courses he gave in continuing education "shop" courses. What a fine man, a good man. Godspeed Jerry.

Mr. and Mrs. Wilson were very kind and helpful to me during a difficult time in my life, and I can't say enough good about them. The world is poorer now he has passed away.
