I would like to express my sympathy in the loss of your dear loved one, Pauline. The death of a loved one is one of the most painful events that can happen. Our loving Heavenly Father understands how you feel because death was not a part of his original purpose for mankind (Genesis 1:28). However, he provides comfort to help soothe the feelings of sadness and grief. Psalm 147:3 says; "He (God) heals the brokenhearted; He binds up their wounds." The wonderful promise for the future at Revelation 21:4 is very comforting. It says; "He (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." For more comfort please visit our website: jw.org and view the faith strengthening video; Is There Hope for the Dead? Click publications then videos.

Hello, my name is Rebecca. I am from the Potsdam area. I was reading this obituary of Pauline J. Smith and I wanted to say to the friends and family of Mrs. Smith that I am deeply sorry for your loss.
I also wanted to share a little word of encouragement that has always helped me in times of distress. A lot of people wonder where they can find help to deal with grief?
2 Corinthians 1:3,4 says, “Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God.”
So it’s nice to know that we can receive form God anytime, anywhere. There are more encouraging articles and videos for the whole family on our free official website, www.JW.org. Thank you for letting me share my comforts.

Even though it is inevitable, my heart is still broken. The kind that feels like hot coals just sitting in your chest. My dad called me at around 1:30 am Thursday morning, and I just knew that I had lost my grandma. She was so tough and beautiful. There was no one else like her out there. Selfishly all I can think about is how she won't be there to meet the new baby and how much I am going to miss her at the family reunion. I also keep trying to tell myself that she is in a better place, which I know with everything in me she is, but I want her here still. Lost another piece of my heart. I love you grandma, thank you for being one of the best in my life.
