I am a South Colton native; I got reacquainted with George at the St. Regis Nursing Home where I visited often with him while I was there visiting my mother, Vivian Boyd. George was a wonderfully kind and gentle and non-assuming, humble man. I knew that as a kid and it was reaffirmed during these past two years. I regret not learning of his passing until today. Please accept our deepest sympathy on George's passing,,he was always a pleasant man to have a conversation with at the end of a days hunt at Weller Mountain,My father Ed sr. I would like to express my condolences to your family on the loss of George. George was like an uncle to us due to his long relationship with Aunt Roleane. I would like to share two funny stories. When I was in my teens, we were all staying at a camp. I was in the top bunk. George decided to get on the bottom bunk and used his legs to push up on my bunk. The top bunk fell on George. Luckily, he was not hurt. George introduced me to gambling. George, Aunt Roleane, Cindy and I went to the Turning Stone casino. We were trying to figure out how to use the machines. So George put $10 on a card. Put the card in and hit spin. We lost and our balance was $0.00. None of us looked at the machine to see that the bet was set for $10.00. We will miss George. He always was fun loving and loved to cook for our events. Diane Lindsey

I am so sorry to learn of George’s passing. I very much enjoyed spending time with him, hearing his stories, and of course enjoyed the delicious trout meals he used to bring to gatherings! Rest In Peace, George.

So sorry to hear this news about George. We got to know him when visiting our mom at St. Regis as he would sit by the main entrance and was like the official greeter at the nursing home. We always enjoyed our conversations with him and he will be missed by all who knew him. We will keep him and his family in our prayers.
