NORFOLK—A Mass of Christian Burial for 101 year old Julia A. Locke, a resident of the Highland Home, Massena, and formerly of Massena and Brasher Falls, will be held in the springtime at the Sacred Heart Church in Massena with burial following in the Visitation Cemetery, Norfolk. Mrs. Locke passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the Highland Home in Massena. Julia is survived by her daughter, Sharon and Rick McCabe, Myrtle Beach, SC; her two grandchildren, Paula (Todd) Milliron and Brian Stickney and her three great-grandchildren, Cydni Stickney and Chloe and Ella Milliron as well as a sister-in-law, Nina Molnar, Norfolk and several nieces and nephews. Julia was pre-deceased by her brothers George, Louis, John and Joseph Molnar and her two sisters, Mary Olah and Irene McGee.
Born in Norfolk, NY on September 29, 1916 to the late Joseph and Rose Gepes Molnar, Julia married Almond Locke on September 24, 1945. Almond passed away on December 3, 1956. Julia worked as a housekeeper and secretary for the St. Patrick's Church in Brasher Falls for many years and previously worked as a secretary for the Norfolk Paper Mill. Julia was a devoted Christian and enjoyed cooking, in which she often gave away most of which she cooked and loved to travel.
