SOUTH COLTON— A graveside service for 79 year old Jean K. Fitzpatrick of 3852 State Highway 56, South Colton, will be held Friday at 8:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Cemetery with Rev. Stephen Rocker presiding. Mrs. Fitzpatrick passed away Tuesday morning at the Focus Rehabilitation Center and Nursing Home in Utica. Jean is survived by her two sons, Richard Fitzpatrick, South Colton; Michael and Marie Fitzpatrick, Ogdensburg; her two daughters, Donna and Darrel McDonald, Norfolk and Martha and Rudolph Brothers, South Colton; her six beloved grandchildren and one great grandchild; her brother, Bernard Gonyea, NC and her sister, Patricia Marselis, Norwood. She was pre-deceased by her husband John in January of 2005; her brothers, Donald, Lewis, Lawrence, William, Francis and Robert Gonyea; her sisters Helen Rindal, Elizabeth Farmer, Kathleen Gonyea and Janet Queor and a grandchild Megan Fitzpatrick.
Born in Potsdam, NY on June 13, 1938 to the late Clarence and Luella Arquiett Gonyea. She married John Fitzpatrick on October 20, 1956. Jean stayed home to raise her four children and enjoyed puzzles, crocheting and watching TV Game Shows and playing Bingo. Memorial Donations in her memory can be made to a Charity of one's choice.
