NORWOOD—Memorial Services for 51 year old Christopher Bernard, a resident of 422 Regan Road, Norwood, will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood. A Celebration of life gathering will follow at the Norwood American Legion. Christopher passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Chris is survived by his wife, Tonya Bernard, Norfolk; two sons, Sheldon Bernard, Norwood; Shaiden Bernard, Norfolk; his two daughters, Alicia Bernard, Florida; Shaylee Bernard, Norfolk; a grandson and a granddaughter, both of Florida; his father John P. Margittay Sr., Norwood; his biological father, Kenneth Langdok, Wisconsin; two brothers, Brian Bernard, Weedsport; John and Ann Margittay Jr., Norwood and his six sisters, Barbara Bernard, Florida; Emily and Kevin Enslow, Norwood; Betsy Darabon and Robert Myers, Norwood; Gerry Edgecomb, Wisconsin; Vickie Muth, Wisconsin and Laurie Langdok, Nevada as well as several nieces and nephews. Christopher was pre-deceased by his mother, Frances Margittay on September 26, 2016.
Born in Potsdam, NY on November 6, 1965 to Kenneth Langdok and Frances Hooper, Chris married Tonya M. Crump on April 3, 1999. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Local 106, Albany NY, working locally for Perras Excavating in Massena and J. E. Sheehan Construction in Potsdam. Christopher had a passion for the outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing and cooking. He also enjoyed to gamble on occasion and absolutely loved spending time with his children and family.
