Obituary of Robert Shawn Conyea

NORWOOD—Funeral Services for 52 year old Robert Shawn Conyea, a resident of 37 Park Street, Norwood, will be held Friday, December 30, 2016 at 4 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood with Elder Ken Ashley presiding. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Friday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. Shawn passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning while visiting family in Newburgh, NY. Shawn is survived by his wife of 29 years, Darla; his two daughters, Keshia Conyea, Norwood; Jessica Conyea and Michael Estremera, Maryland; two grandchildren, Sideris Pappis and Payton Conyea; three brothers, Peter and Allison Conyea, Arizona; Leonard and Kathy Conyea, Kentucky; Ronald and Johnna Conyea, Kentucky; his four sisters, Cheryl and Robert Vredenburg, Newburgh, NY; Annette and Richard Barton, Colorado; Deborah and Keith Rogers, North Carolina and Robyn and Michael Proud, Oswego as well as several nieces and nephews. Shawn was pre-deceased by his parents Peter and Gloria, a brother Brian Conyea and his adopted parents, William "Bill" and Mary Vredenburg. Born in Newburgh, NY on September 1, 1964 to the late Peter and Gloria Terrell Conyea, Shawn graduated from High School and started working in the construction field. He worked for various contractors, including Tim Orologio. He later became self-employed and has constructed many projects with his many talents and skills over his career. While away from work, Shawn enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. Memorial Donations in Shawn's memory can be made to a local Ronald McDonald House.
