Obituary of Roleane L. Spear

COLTON– Funeral services for 79 year old Roleane L. Spear, of 40 Symonds Square, Colton, will be held Tuesday at 11 am at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton with Rev. Lee Sweeney, pastor of the Knapps Station Community Church presiding. Burial will be held in the Chapel Hill Cemetery, Parishville. Calling hours will be held Monday at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Mrs. Spear passed away Saturday morning at Canton-Potsdam Hospital. She is survived by her longtime companion George Seaver, Colton, two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Lindsey, Fort Jackson and Mrs. Elizabeth Desjardins, Brasher Falls, her nieces Diane Lindsey, Rome, NY; Donna Perry, Potsdam; Laura McCormick, Oklahoma; Lynne Marie Draper, Norfolk; Christine Patell, Ballston Lake, NY and nephews Kenneth Lindsey, Potsdam; Gerald Lindsey, Brewerton; and Randy Lindsey, Parishville, and a sister-in-law Constance Leach, Raymondville. She was pre-deceased by her brothers John and Frederick Leach, a sister Nina Leach, her brother-in-laws Kenneth Lindsey Sr.and Gerard Desjardins and a pre-deceased sister-in-law Lucille Leach. Born in Hopkinton on May 23, 1929 to Paul and Ruth Trask Leach, she married Albert D. Spear on August 21, 1949. He passed away on January 23, 1967. She was a self employed Hairdresser in Potsdam. She was a communicant of the Methodist Church in Parishville. Memorial Donations can be made to the Colton Rescue Squad. Arrangements are with the Buck Funeral Home in Colton.
