Parishville-- Funeral Services for 64 year old Ralph G. Hobbs, of 66 Catherine Street, Potsdam, will be held Wednesday at 11 am at St. Pauls Church in South Colton with Rev. Raymond Moreau, Pastor, presiding and the Rev. Msgr. John Murphy will be the Homilist. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Parishville with military honors. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at St. Michaels Church in Parishville. Arrangements are with the Buck Funeral Home in Colton.

He was pre-deceased by a son Garrett on March 25, 1995 and a infant brother Donald Hobbs.
Born in Plattsburg, Missouri on January 24, 1944 to James M. and Idol Allen Hobbs, he married Dorothy Long on October 10, 1970 at St. Pauls Church in South Colton with Fr. John Canning presiding. He worked at the Childrens Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri for a few years as a Radiological Technoligist before coming to work at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital as the Director of Imaging Services for 20 years, retiring in 1994. He also was the owner/operator of Hobbs Boots and Shoes in Potsdam from 1992-2000. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1964-1970, serving in Vietnam with the Fleet Marine Force Combat Operations. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the Vietnam Veterans Motorcycle Club and was very active in the Tri-Town Minor Hockey Assoc. He enjoyed playing cards, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. His recent Baptism at St. Michaels Church has brought blessings to his family. Memorial Donations can be made to the Parishville Rescue Squad, St. Michaels Church or to the Disabled American Veterans. Arrangements are with the Buck Funeral Home in Colton.
