I still get the Courier-Observer (Tuesdays only), and today I saw that your wife Nancy passed away recently. Im sure theres nothing I can say to ease your pain that kind of partial relief can come only from very close family and maybe a few friends who are just as close. You certainly are fortunate to have children, grandchildren, and especially (!) a great-grandchild for comfort. My wife and I also have 6 grandchildren, but I should live so long as to see a great-grandchild, since my oldest grandchildren (two boys) are only 14. Judy and I have been married only 52 years.
Seeing the notice in the paper brought back a flood of memories, so I got out the 57 Sandstoner you signed mine, Your Buddy, Lindon. Despite all the years and all the distance, I like to think we are still buddies of a sort.
I notice that you have a daughter Vicky in Hyde Park. If you are planning to visit there, please let me know we might be able to get together. My youngest (an ordained female rabbi) lives in Riverdale NY, which is the north edge of the Bronx, and she teaches in Hartsdale, so we are sometimes in that neighborhood. When my wife was a child in Brooklyn, her family used to enjoy trips to Hyde Park, and shes been looking for an opportunity to visit again.
