What can I say? Jim was a great friend of my father, mother, and the rest of our family. He was always there to help us, in deed and with his advice. He is really going to be missed in the McGinnis household. Thanks for letting us know you Jim - it was a privilege.

Dear Phyllis and Family,
I regret being unable to join you for Jim's calling hours or funeral. My own mother's memorial service took place on Saturday, May 23rd, and we still have family visiting from all over the country. Jim will be missed, both as a skilled advocate on behalf of Norwood, and also as a voice of reason in the larger county community. Please accept my condolences and best wishes in the time ahead. I'm pastor of both the Congregational and Methodist Churches in Norwood. I first met Mr. McFaddin when we talked about a railroad museum in Norwood. I had been involved in organizing the Lisbon Museum. Jim was always cordial and courteous whenever we met which was usually at the Town Diner. His dedicated presence will be missed in Norwood. Praying for you.

Jim, our long-time friend and colleague in the Democratic vineyards, was a true gentleman, always warm, positive and humble. He practiced his faith consistently with good works for his family, his community and his county. He is today a role model and mirror to us all and of all ages, especially to his family, friends, co-workers and fellow citizens.
Our love and Prayers,
Brad and Marilyn Mintener, Canton

Charles LaShombe posted a condolence
To Phyllis and family:
On Aug.9th 1975 I had loss my father a few years before and was a
very angry young man.
I was Spiritually, Physically and Emotionally torn apart with no one to
direct me in a healthy direction. I was going down a road of destruction.
I made one phone call and they told me someone would come and see me.
Low and behold who showed up at my door but a man named Jim Mcfadden.
He smiled at me we talked. Not for weeks or months but years, he took
me to people I needed to talk with, and to help with the anger and hurt,
I had in me . Jim never turned his back on me ,no matter how hard headed I was,
he always gave me hope and a purpose in life.
He always made me feel I was important to other people, and myself. He became
more than a friend but a mentor for all these years.
Jim there is no way for me to ever repay you for what you did for me but know
and pray that you will have the best eternity God can give you.
I love you my friend Rest In Peace.
