KNAPPS STATIONFuneral services for 95 year old Aletha Mae Green, a resident of Knapps Station, will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. at the Knapps Station Community Church, with Rev. Lee Sweeney presiding. Burial will be held in Hillcrest Cemetery in Lawrenceville, following the service. Family and friends may call at the Knapps Station Community Church on Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Ms. Green passed away Wednesday morning at her home.
Aletha is survived by her nieces and nephews, and by a sister- in- law, Buella Green. She is pre-deceased by her brothers, Robert, James, George, Hollis, Chester, Walter(Clifford), Charles, Archie and her sisters Blanche Wells, Mollie Green and Nettie Green.
Born in Moria, on February 9, 1919 to the late Willis and Myra Drean Green, she worked at Fishmans in Massena, and also at SUNY Potsdam. She was a communicate of the Knapps Station Community Church, and a member of the North Stockholm Womens Society. Aletha enjoyed gardening, yard work, visiting with people, and most of all her family and friends. Memorial Donations in her memory may be made to the Knapps Station Community Church, Hospice or the Cerebral Palsy of Canton.
