NORWOOD-- Keitha M. Emburey age 89 entered into eternal peace on Sunday September 1st, 2013, where she was a patient in the Massena Memorial Hospital. Calling hours will be held at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood from 4-7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 4th. The Funeral will be at St. Andrews Church in Norwood at 10:0 a.m. on Thursday, September 5th, with Rev. Msgr. John Murphy presiding. Graveside Services will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Norwood.
Keitha was born on December 19th, 1923 in Norwood NY, daughter of the late Eugene & Mabel Bonno. Keitha married the love of her life, Clay Emburey on January 1st, 1941. Keitha & Clay were happily married for 53 years until Clay's passing in 1994.
Keitha is survived by her children; Marshall & Janet Emburey of Norwood, NY, James & Bonnie Emburey of Colton, NY, Lisa Emburey & Richard James of Colton, NY ; a daughter in-law, Dale Emburey of Phoenix, AZ, her 9 Grandsons, her 2 Great-grandsons & her two Great Grand-daughters; a brother, Eugene (Jack) & Sharon Bonno of Colton, NY & her sister Virginia Worley of Central Square, NY. Keitha was predeceased by her brother Francis Bonno & her two sons, Dennis Clay Emburey & Gregory James Emburey.
Keitha was employed at Harold's Men's Shop In Potsdam until retiring in 1980. Keitha loved traveling, camping & hunting with her husband & family members. Keitha also enjoyed knitting, playing cards, bowling, backgammon, baking & especially watching the Yankees play Baseball. Keitha also loved to dance & was an avid tap dancer in her younger years.
Keitha was a woman of faith & the heart of her family which she raised with her tireless Christian example. Keitha was a member of St. Andrews parish in Norwood & later in life a member of the St. Patricks parish in Colton, & was active in the Alter Rosary Society.
Keitha had a zest for life & will be missed dearly by all who knew & loved her.
