Obituary of Elizabeth J. Brownell

NORFOLK– Funeral Services for 83 year old Elizabeth J. “Betty” Brownell, of 29 North Main Street, Norfolk, will be held Thursday at 10 am at the Church of the Visitation with Rev. Andrew Amyot, pastor, presiding. Burial will take place in Visitation Cemetery. Friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk Wednesday from 6-9 pm. Mrs. Brownell passed away early Monday morning. Survivors– Daughter– Mrs. Mike Linda Corbeil, Saratoga Springs; 3 Grandchildren; 6 Great-Grandchildren; 5 Great-Great Grandchildren; Sister– Mrs. Monica Nightengale, Norfolk and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by brothers John, Kenneth, Eugene, and Richard. Born in Norfolk on September 30, 1924 to Charles J and Elizabeth Murphy O’Brien, she married Paul D. Brownell on September 21, 1968. She was a homemaker and worked at the Steinbarge’s Store and the Post Office in Norfolk in her earlier years. She was a member of the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk.
