COLTONFuneral services for 65 year old Judy L. Mills, 29 Old State Road, Colton, will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton with Rev. Don Wolfe presiding. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mrs. Mills passed away early Wednesday morning at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
Judy is survived by her husband of 46 years, Judson Mills, Colton; a son, Judson and Rachel Mills Jr., Colton; two daughters, Michelle Mills and her companion Kevin LaBrake, Colton; Melanie Mills, Colton; five grandchildren, Jedediah LaBrake, Wyatt LaBrake, Todd LaBrake, Hunter LaBrake and Parker Mills; her five brothers, Ernest and Joan Sweet, Liverpool; Gary and Tammy Sweet, Potsdam; Tim and Cheryl Sweet, Hudson, NH; Jeff and Tina Sweet, Norwood; Jonathon and Jennifer Layaw, Raymondville; her three sisters, Sherry and companion James Fullerton, Norwood; Susette and Floyd Scovil, Colton and Jeanette Sweet and her companion Marc Tarbay, Syracuse and her Step-Father, Paul Layaw, Potsdam.
Born in Potsdam on February 13, 1948 to the late Ernest and Frances Shatraw Sweet, she married Judson B. Mills on August 6, 1966. She was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed cooking, attending bingo, camping, hunting, traveling and spending time with her family.
