Obituary of Eileen E. Robert

NORFOLK—Funeral services for 94 year old Eileen E. Robert, a resident of the Home of the Good Shepard in Malta, NY, and formerly of Norfolk, will be held Saturday at 12 noon with Deacon Rick Littlejohn presiding. Entombment will be held in Foxwood Mausoleum in Ogdensburg. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk on Saturday from 10 am until the time of the service at noon. Mrs. Robert passed away early New Year’s Day at the Home of the Good Shepard. Eileen is survived by her son, James and Delva, Ballston Lake, NY; her daughter, Ann and Richard Evans, Clifton Park, NY; her four grandchildren, Leah and Jamie Keys, Ryan Robert, Sara and Michael DeLeonardis, Zachary Evans and her three great-grandchildren, Coen and Sadie DeLeonardis and Noah Keys. Eileen was pre-deceased by her husband, a brother Richard Baynes and her two sisters, Daphne Hughes and Beverly Crabb. Born in Norfolk on November 29, 1918 to the late G. Lewis and Pearl King Baynes, Eileen graduated as Valedictorian from her 1937 Norfolk High School Class and proceeded to graduate from the Wilfred Academy of Beauticians in New York City. Eileen married Marshall Robert Jr. on April 3, 1948. She was the owner and operator of Eileen Beauty Shop in Norfolk and also helped run an insurance business with her husband. Marshall passed away in February of 1991. Eileen was a member of the Norfolk United Methodist Church in Norfolk. She enjoyed playing the piano, reading and spending time with her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the United Methodist Church in Norfolk or to Hospice of Saratoga County in memory of Eileen.
