I was sorry to hear that Aunt Clara has passed away but am confidant that she is happy in her new home. There is comfort in that for those who mourn her. The Chapman "homeplace" will not be the same without her but she has left a great legacy in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. God bless you all.

Dear Chapman Family,
I met Clara about 9yrs ago when I worked in Home Health Care and remained in touch ever since. Clara was the sweetest, kindest lady I had ever met. She was very independent and loved keeping a garden even in her later years. I was able to visit her from time to time while at the nursing home. The last time I visited, shortly before the holidays, I knew it would be the last time I saw Clara. Clara had always remembered my name, but this last time she called me "Sam"... However we chatted and I even read some of her beloved Bible to her before kissing her softly and telling her I loved her. I told Clara I would be out of town for the holidays but I would visit after and bring pictures. I'm saddened I won't be home for her funeral. However I have that great memory of Clara and her thanking me for coming and telling me she loved me. The sparkle in her eyes when she saw me, no matter how sick or tired... That is how I will remember Clara. My condolences to the entire family. I wish I could be there. God Bless You Clara. I will truly miss you.

Dear Clara Chapman's family, I am Edwin and Ethel's adopted daughter Jeanne Mary Chapman Hamilton. I know my Mom and Dad would like to send their condolences to the entire family as Dad was Uncle Floyds brother and I did meet Aunt Clara in the Brookdale church many times through Carolann and Duane. May you know that she will be missed by the community and yet safe with God. I do not have a lot of memories other than knowing that Aunt Clara wore her hair like Aunt Ruth. God bless your family during this lost of your Mother, sister, Aunt, and friend. Sincerely, Jeanne M. Hamilton
