Obituary of Harold F. Ling

BRASHER FALLS—Funeral services for 69 year old Harold F. Ling, 138 Hopson Road, Brasher Falls, will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood with Rev. Msgr. Harry Snow presiding. Burial will be held in Hale Cemetery, Norfolk. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Mr. Ling passed away Saturday evening. Harold is survived by his wife, Kathleen, Brasher Falls; his three daughters, Kelly and Todd McGregor, Potsdam; Christina and Brian Paro, Winthrop and Tara Hall, Centreville, VA; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his three brothers, Gary and Connie Ling, Winthrop; Steve and Diane Ling, Florida; Jim and Bonnie Ling, Potsdam and several nieces and nephews. Harold was pre-deceased by his parents and a son, Jamie Ling. Born in Ilion, NY on February 19, 1943 to the late Harold E. and Virginia Collins Ling, he married Kathleen Oakes on April 16, 1988. He worked as a Tool Crib Operator for ALCOA in Massena, NY for 35 years, retiring in 2001. Harold enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was a past member of the Norwood American Legion and the Racquette River Fire Department. Harold served in the U.S. Navy. Memorial Donations can be made to the Renal Dialysis Center in Ogdensburg.
