God Bless my Grandmother....she was the very best. She lived 94 years and managed to cram in everything that she could. She was definately an original and therefore extremely unique. I was able to spend a great deal of time with her over the years, along with my sister Renee' and my brother Gary Jr. It was always interesting and never boring. She taught me many things that I will never forget and I will miss her terribly. I remember one particularly eventful occasion: she had accompanied my mother Sheila, myself, my sister Renee' and my son Merritt to Aruba back in 1997. There were a group of rowdy Columbian male college students at the hotel pool and she had no problem lecturing them on how she expected them to behave...I am pretty sure that they were terrifed of her...and my sis and I laughed for days. She was forever on the move and rarely afraid of anything, and primarily a contented lady. She is with my beloved grandfather now, and I can only imagine how happy he is to see her, really... And she did create a beautiful family. I know that wherever she is now, it is sure to be enhanced by her presence. I love you Gram xoxoxox

I never had the pleasure to meet Megan Charlop, but I know her goesnods of spirit through Aaron, her son.She clearly raised kids who care about the less-fortunate through an effortless that's almost hard to describe. Her children regard doing positive things for the world not as a sacrifice or a chore -- but as a way of life. With so much humor and curiosity along the way. That is a perspective only a parent can instill. What a mother to be proud of.My gut reaction tells me this tragedy is simply unfair. But something deeper reminds me that Megan Charlop's spirit still lives on through her amazing kids and the goesnods she brought into this world. With love and respect,Patrick Winn - Bangkok, Thailand
