POTSDAMFuneral services for 71 year old Thomas J. Dickinson, 1355 State Highway 345, Potsdam, will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood with Rev. Msgr. Robert Lawler presiding. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Mr. Dickinson passed away early Monday morning.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Shirley, Potsdam and his three sons, Lawrence and family, Temperance, Michigan; Terrance and family, Waddell, Arizona and Daniel and family, Rensselaer Falls. Mr. Dickinson is also survived by seven grandchildren and his sister, Mary C. Phillips, Waddington.
Born in Waddington on November 9, 1940 to the late Laurence and Margaret Dickinson, he was a 1959 graduate of Madrid-Waddington Central School. He married Shirley St. Louis on September 23, 1960. He worked as a stationary engineer for Nekoosa Edwards Paper Mill and then worked for Kraft in Canton as a stationary engineer and a sanitary welder and pipefitter. He enjoyed reading and puttering around in his garage, but most of all, he loved to fish. Memorial Donations can be made to the West Potsdam First Responders.
