Pinky was one of my Dad's friend (Julius Papp) and I went to high school with Andy. Poor Barbara had to listen to my horrible piano playing until she turned me on to music with huge Phantom of the Opera cords. May they all rest in peace.

Since you've already shown him your cooelndnces on the phone and via text the card isn't really necessary.A nice gesture (since you've already gotten the card) would be to address it to his immediate family.Just have the dinner and go on like nothing. I'm sure he will appreciate the distraction. Besides, he'll have more time be sad, and to say goodbye with his family on Christmas Eve at the services. Also, just be supportive and comforting if he wants to talk about it or is still a bit out of it/sad.Good luck!

Behold, God is my salvation; I will TRUST and NOT BE AFRAID; for the Lord Jehovah is my STRENGTH and my SONG; he also has beomce my salvation Praise the Lord, Call upon his name, Declare his doings among the people, Make mention that his name is exalted CRY OUT AND SHOUT THOU INHABITANT OF ZION, FOR GREAT IS THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL IN THE MIDST OF THEE. 2nd Nephi 22 I know these words abide in Mike's heart. I can hear him speaking them to us, especially now. He is great man, he lived great and died great in the eyes of the Lord. He was and is the greatest teacher I have ever known. I miss him already and cannot wait for the day soon to come when we will be reunited. Until then, I will prepare and and try to do my best to carry on the work that he started, at least until he returns and takes the reins again. I love you Mike we all do. Until we meet again, Farewell Christian Hess

My condolences to Barbara's friends and family. I have many happy memories as one of her piano students from grade school through graduation. I saw her faithfully every week, except during summer vacations. She was so patient, and kind. I will always think of her when I smell clean wet laundry hanging on the line, as on Mondays, which were my lesson days, she hung hers out on the front porch, and there I had to wait for my ride home after my lesson. She was a really sweet lady, and will be missed.

Jack, Jackson and I spoke recently with Aunt Barb from Mexico on her birthday. It was such a delightful conversation. She was just sitting down to watch Dancing with the Stars and we talked about who might win. Aunt Barb was so easy to talk to and reminded me so much of my own Grandmother. You will be missed Aunt Barb, but I am so happy that you are at peace and reunited with Uncle Pink and Andy. Please give Gigi (Katherine) a kiss from me and let her know how much we miss her. You were such a wonderful person I am sure the gates of heaven were polished especially for you and you were surrounded in Gods heavenly light as you left this earth. Till we meet again..Adieu
