NORWOOD - Funeral services for 93 year old Luell E. Seeley, of Wadsworth, Ohio and formerly of Ocala,Florida; Ogdensburg and Norwood, New York; will be held Saturday 11AM at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood with Rev. James Barnes, paster of the United Methodist Church in Potsdam, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Norwood.Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 10AM - 11AM.Mr.Seeley died Tuesday in Ohio.
Surviving are 4 Daughters-MaryLu Kearney;Miller Place, NY;Gail Philipp, Centereach,NY; Sandra Shook,Wadsworth,Ohio;Valerie Vasan, Florida;11 Grandchildren.8 Grt.-Grandchildren;1 Brother Eugene Seeley,Canton,NY and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a daughter Linda Sharlow of Norfolk.
Born in Rensselaer Falls, New York on May 7,1915, son of Earl J. and Orva Wheater Seeley, he first married Florence Swezey. He later married Leona Camp and Mary Hall.He was employed as a machinist for Kendall-LaMar Corporation in Potsdam and later retired from ALCOA in 1981.
He was associated with the Norwood United Methodist Church for many years and was a member of the Ocala West United Methodist Church in Ocala, Florida. He was a WWII Army Veteran; serving with the 42nd.Rainbow Division in the European Theatre.
