Dear Bill,
I am saddened to hear about your dad. Every time I drive by Hepburn Street I look up at the house and remember both he and your mom. I think about them often in my many remembrances of our youth, and now another chapter of our lives has closed. As I read the obituary I realized his birthday is only a month after my mom's - she was born on February 28, 1919. Your father had an amazing life and I was also amazed to read the many talents he had. I would like to stop and pay my respects on Thursday, but I have to attend our board meeting in Canton. If it is done early, I may be able to get to Norfolk before 8:00 p.m. Bill, I am very sorry for your loss. I understand how hard it is and will be for you without him. I guess we are the "older" generation now.
