NORFOLKFuneral services for 92 year old Stella F. Maxim, 1398 County Route 38, Norfolk, will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk with Rev. Msgr. John Murphy presiding. Burial will be held in the Visitation Cemetery, Norfolk. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral. Mrs. Maxim passed away late Sunday evening at Massena Memorial Hospital. Stella was survived by several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother Michael and her sisters Kate, Rose and Olga.
Born in Madrid, NY on May 16, 1919 to the late Theodore and Mary Osoway, she married Howard Maxim on November 6, 1940. He passed away in 1990. Stella and her husband owned and operated their farm for years, and she also worked for Tru Stitch Moccasin Factory in Bombay. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards and solving crossword puzzles.
