Bonnie, I was very sorry to hear about your mom. I remember going to your house many times during the summer because my mom loved all the vegetables you grew in your garden, especially the corn. Your mom sure had a green thumb. John and I are thinking of you and your family.

Shirley, thanks for all the great memories we shared of the countless VFW & Aux. meetings throughout the Fourth District and the NY state conventions. You and Lloyd were such good friends to Johnny and me. Now all three of you are gone, but I will always treasure the memories of those many years. My deepest sympathy to your family and especially to Bonnie, Sharon and Charlene, who have been good friends as well. God bless you, Shirley, and I know you will get a meeting together in heaven with all of your old friends. Ellyn

The Severance, so sorry for your loss, Shirley was a great person, I can remember when Skip and I would come over to visit and Shirley was doing laundry and I was so amazed on how she was washing as you had a old fashion washing machine that cranked...it was truly an educational experience. I also loved seeing her at school in the cafeteria line she always had a big smile for me. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.

Shirley was a fun loving person who enjoyed live. I met her when I became involved with the VFW when I was Sharons Historian. She worked with the school cafeteria and so did I in Boonville, so we had a great many stories tell. She will be greatly missed.
