Nancy,
I am so sorry to hear of your father's passing. He was an outstanding individual, who was so easy to talk to and laugh with.
He always had the funniest stories about the antics of the different generations of players on the hockey bus.
I ran into him a couple of years ago, and although I hadn't seen him in several years, it was like I saw him the day before. Big smile, and a story to tell.
He will be missed by everyone who ever met him! I am sorry that I will not be able to make the services, but please know that you are all in our hearts and prayers, at this most difficult time.

Harris Family,
We are thinking of you in your time of grief, and share your sadness. George was a good friend and a pillar of our little community. As hard as the loss of a loved one may be, take heart in the knowledge that he touched so many with his kindness , his good works, and his humor.
I remember george as a young fellow, driving school bus and working in the family store. On the bus, he would flip the ignition key and cause a loud backfire just to please the kids. In the store, it was never a problem if a kid was a few cents short for a squirt gun or other "needed" item.
Later, when he became a rural carrier, he was so well liked by those on his mail route. He was always ready to go above and beyond to help those in need.
May we all remember George as he was at his very best, with his easy laugh and big, friendly smile. One last time, he's gone "above and beyond".

Nancy,
So sorry for the loss of your Dad. Your whole family is in our prayers. I can tell that your father had a very full and caring life. He is in very good hands:
Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Fathers house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.
-John 14:1-3
God Bless you!

Nancy,
I was sorry to learn of your Dad's passing. I hope you will be able to take comfort in knowing you have an "Angel" watching over you. Having a parent in the nursing home is not easy....my Mom has been at SRNH for 5 years...the blessing is the care the residents receive at SRNH. Having seen you interact with the residents/visitors in the last few months, I am sure you made your Dad's days "bright and colorful!" I will be remembering you and your family in my prayers

The memories of your father will be with you and the rest of us forever. Those memories will replace the sadness you feel today. It seems as though it was just yesterday he was driving the school bus. I'm sorry I cannot be with you in person at this time, but will be with you in thought and prayer.
