Obituary of Harold P. Seeber

NORFOLK—Funeral services for 84 year old Harold P. “Bubby” Seeber, Leslie Road, Massena, and formerly of Norfolk, will be held Friday at 4 pm at the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk with Rev. Andrew Amyot officiating. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Norwood. Family and friends can call Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk. Mr. Seeber passed away Tuesday at Massena Memorial Hospital. Bubby is survived by his wife, Gertrude, Massena; his two sons, Paul and Joan Seeber, Cortland and Irv Seeber, Massena, his four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his sister Elvah LeClair. Born in Potsdam on December 23, 1926 to the late Irving C. and Lillian Narrow Seeber, he married Gertrude Granger on November 27, 1948. He worked as a plumber and pipefitter in the Mechanical Department for ALCOA in Massena for 32 years, until his retirement in 1980. He was a communicant of the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk and St. Mary’s Church in Massena, and was a member of the St. Regis Hunting Club, the Norfolk Fire Department, Norfolk American Legion and the ALCOA 25 year club. He was a former Raymondville Rover and was a past member of the Norfolk Youth Bureau. Bubby served with the U.S. Navy during WWII. Memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
