Obituary of Darrell Morgan

NORWOOD—Graveside services for 71 year old Darrell “Jack” Morgan, 9 Prairie Street, Norwood, will be held at a later date. There will be no calling hours. Mr. Morgan passed away early Wednesday morning at Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Jack is survived by his wife, Arloene, Norwood; three sons, Daniel and Sue Morgan, Rochester, Kenneth and Rona McGrath, Norfolk, Charles Spencer, Norwood; four daughters, Beth Ann Morgan, Rochester; Patti Orologio, Potsdam; Amy and Eric Gaumes, Norwood; Mary Merkley, Norwood; seventeen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Jack is also survived by two brothers, Charles and Karen Morgan, Norwood and Fred A. Morgan, Murrells Inlet, SC and one sister Joan Woodward, Cheektowaga, NY. Jack was pre-deceased by one grandson, Dustin Berger. Born in Potsdam on May 26, 1939 to the late Fred B. and Rena E. Brown Morgan, he married Arloene Brothers on April 11, 1981. He worked as an Electronics Technician at SUNY Potsdam for 20 years, retiring in May of 2001. He was a Trustee for the Village of Norwood, Chairman of the Norwood Historical Association and Museum, Vice President of the Norwood Lake Association and a past member of the Norwood Kiwanis and the NRA.
