NORFOLK - Funeral services for 84 year old Gerald "Jake" Carson, of 3176 County Route 49 Norfolk will be held Wednesday at 10AM at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk with Rev. Andrew Amyot, pastor of the Church of the Visitation, officiating. Burial will be in Visitation Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9.Mr. Carson died Saturday at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
Surviving are his wife Agatha of Norfolk; one son Duane of Norfolk, one daughter and her husband; Brenda and Steven Michaud of Massena; two grandchildren; Keri and Aaron Michaud.He is also survived by a brother; Donald and Anne Carson of Madrid; and a sister Inez Hutchins of Winthrop. He was pre-deceased by a sister Shirley LaVigne.
Born in Norfolk on March 13, 1925; son of Fred and Leone Morgan Carson; he married Agatha Robideau on May 20, 1950.Mr. Carson was a self-employed carpenter.He was a member of the Seaway Valley Senior Citizens.He enjoyed hunting,step-dancing, and fiddle music.He thought the world of his grandchildren and enjoyed his many friends.Online condolences and memories can be shared with the family at www.buckfuneralhome.com
