Obituary of Blanche Murray

POTSDAM– Graveside services for 87 year old Blanche F. "Franny" Murray, of 570 Sissonville Road, Potsdam, will be held at a later date in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Potsdam with Rev. Msgr. Harry Snow, pastor of St. Andrew’s Church in Norwood presiding. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood. Mrs. Murray passed away Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Murray is survived by a son, Phillip and Connie Murray, Philadelphia, PA, her daughters Lois and Rodney Stader, Stockholm, Kaye and Eddie Moore, Virginia Beach, VA, and Phyllis and Bob Gonyea, Gouverneur, her six grandchildren, Robin Stanburg, VA, Chris Russell, VA, Jennifer Hewey, Potsdam, Bryan Russell, PA, Nick Gonyea, Montana and Ty Murray, PA, nine great-grandchildren, her sister Margaret Duchano, Star Lake and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brothers Edmund, Homer, Bernard and Vincent and her sisters Mary, Laura and Bernice. Born in Pyrites on February 12, 1922 to the late Adrian and Fabienna Pludhomme Vincent, she married Donald F. Murray on July 18, 1942. He passed away in 1985. She worked as a cafeteria worker for the Potsdam High School from 1962-1984. She also worked in her earlier years at the Kinney Drug Store in Potsdam. She was an avid Yankee fan and she loved playing cards and being with her family. Memorial Donations can be made to St. Lawrence Valley Hospice and Palliative Care.
