NORWOOD– Memorial Services for 76 year old Moses F. LaRue, of the Highland Nursing Home and formerly of 12 Pine Street, Norwood, will be held at a later date at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood. Burial will take place in St. Patricks Cemetery, Brasher Falls. Mr. LaRue passed away Saturday evening at the Highland Nursing Home. Moses is survived by his two brothers Theron and Shirley LaRue, Norwood and Fred and Sharlene LaRue, Winter Haven, FL and his two sisters, Mrs. Kenneth Julia Lashomb, Massena and Mrs. Reginald Bertha Mott, Massena and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his sister Beulah Suzdak, half-brothers Larry and James Ober and half-sisters Bernice Kellison and Irene Felix. Born in Brasher Falls on December 16, 1932 to Fred and Alice Jesmer LaRue, he worked as a mill helper for Bethleham Steel in Buffalo until he became disabled in 1968. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Massena VFW and American Legion. Memorial Donations can be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley.
