COLTON-- Funeral services for 46 year old Jeremy C. Scovil, of 20 Number Nine road, Colton, will be held Saturday at 10 am at the Colton United Methodist Church with Rev. Edwin Wright, presiding. Burial will be held in the Stark cemetery, South Colton. Calling hours will be held Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Colton United Methodist Church. Mr. Scovil passed away Wednesday at his home.
Survivors-- Son-- Justin and Margo, Madrid; Parents-- Roger and Leota Scovil, South Colton; Grandchildren-- Chase William and Levi James; Brother-- Jeffrey and Denise Scovil, Colton and two Nieces-- Mrs. Marshall Jamie Matthie and Mrs. Joseph Carrie Kraszewski, both of Colton.
He was Pre-Deceased by a brother Jamie in 1974.
Born in Potsdam on May 5, 1961 to Roger and Leota Young Scovil, he attended Colton-Pierrepont Central School, graduating in 1979. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1980-1984. A marriage to Mary Baker in 1994 ended in a divorce. He worked in the Maintenance Department at St.Lawrence University in Canton. He was a member of the 6 pt Hill Hunting Club, the Colton Amvets Post 262, and he loved woodworking, hunting, and motorcycles. He took pride in the motorcycle that he built.
