To all my brothers and my two sisters,,
I am still so saddened by my dads death,, it has hit harder than I could have EVER imagined,,so I do hope you all bear with me in this time of my anger, resentment and the feeling of not doing enough for dad towards the end .
I do know that you all are going through your tough times with it as well,,know that I love you all and with time we will all heal but will never forget him.. He did not know us for some time but we all knew him and all loved him no matter what . I will never forget my daddy,,,
I found a short verse that I wish to share with all.. it says what I am feeling..
Death leaves a heartache
no one can heal
Love leaves a memory
no one can steal..
you were and will always be my heart dad,, and I will NEVER forget you.. you are with mom now and I know you both are happy and in no pain..know that I love you both,
Sis

To all my brothers ans sisters: We are all deeply saddened by our DAD beginning his journey to be with the Lord, his wife & our MOM. It has been tough for all of us to watch his health decline over the years but, He had many years to enjoy life with his family. Even when it came to the point he didn't know us by name, we never forgot who he was OUR DAD! He could make us laugh with the words he spoke (which I won't mention) or the looks he'd give or the faces he would make(you know which ones I mean) but these are what make the memories for us to cherish. He will always be our DAD and remain in our hearts forever. May we all find comfort and strength from each other and keep in touch as time goes on. I will close for now but as a reminder know you will all be in my thoughts and prayers always. God Bless each one of you and your families. Your beautiful, youngest, skinny sister AMY

Dad, I miss you so much!! I know how peaceful you are now but that still doesn't ease the pain, i want to go to the nursing home and sit and hold your hand and listen to you ramble on to me or watch you sleep. You were so handsome. I would always wonder why when you looked at me you always laughed. ( No commets from the family either) I loved going in an just hugging you and hearing you say you loved me when I would ask if you loved me. Some days you didn't answer somedays you'd say "No" and some days you would say "of course". Whatever it was it meant the world to me.
I would never wish you back dad but I miss you more then life itself. I'm glad your with mom and I hope your telling her all about everyone.
I love you Alway and Forever and God Bless You!!!

Amy and Family,
I wanted to take a moment and say how deeply sorry I am for your loss. Amos was and always will remain a special friend and Father in Law to me.
I am proud of all of you for your strength and perseverance during this challenging time. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to celebrate Amos's life. The "Rifleman" will ALWAYS hold a very special place in my heart. It goes without saying that he is in a much better place, surrounded by many of those whom passed through his life, including his beloved Johanna, and waiting for us to all join him again one day.
God speed and may each of you find peace and comfort by sharing and caring for each other. Tim

I am sorry to hear about Amos, I really enjoyed my days spent with him. He truly was a sweet man, I felt comfortable taking care of him and you guys made me feel welcome in his home. I wanted to get to see him before I moved to Tennessee but the move came to fast. I think of him often. I still laugh when I tink of him calling me George, because he couldn't remember my name. You will have many great memories and those will be with you always. Take care of yourselves and Amos will bring a smile to your faces everyday. Kathy

Dearest Amy and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. May the Lord place his most Holy hand upon you always, but especially during this time of sorrow and mourning.
Matthew 5:4
Blessed and enviably happy (with a happiness produced by the experience of God's favor and especially conditioned by the revelation of His matchless grace) are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted!
All our Love and deepest sympathy.
