NORWOOD—Funeral Services for 87 year old Harold F. Raymonda, a resident of 4 Baldwin Ave, and formerly of Pleasant Street, Norwood, will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood with Rev. Walter Smith presiding. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Sunday from 10 a.m. – 12 noon and again from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral at 4 p.m. Burial will be held in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lawrenceville. Mr. Raymonda passed away Wednesday afternoon at his home.
Harold is survived by his wife of 67 years, Joan; his two sons, Richard Raymonda, Norfolk and James and Carole Raymonda, St. Regis Falls; his daughter, Maria and Vincent Rinella, North River, NY; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Harold was pre-deceased by his parents and a granddaughter Kimberly Raymonda.
Born in Syracuse, NY on August 5, 1928 to the late Harold B. and Anna Streeter Raymonda, Harold graduated from High School and served with the National Guard. He worked for General Motors as a Die Maker, working with the company almost 30 years, retiring in 1987. Harold was very active in the Norwood Community, as he was a member and past president of the Norwood Kiwanis Club, in which he was also named Kiwanian of the Year. He was also involved with the Norwood United Methodist Church, the Norwood Methodist Men, the Norwood Senior Citizens, the Norwood Lake Association as well as the Norwood Recycling Center, where he was every Saturday morning. Harold was also a member of the Flower Hill Sporting Club in Parishville, a member of Trout Unlimited and also previously sat on the Board of Directors for SeaComm Federal Credit Union for many years. Harold was very dedicated to the community and in his spare time enjoyed fishing, being in the outdoors, helping others and spending time with his family and friends.
