I only knew Harold through my employment at Potters Industries. He would bring in the recycled glass and I was always impressed with his dedication to recycling. He was always cheerful and personified the kind of person any community, organization or family would be proud to have. I have retired after 33 years there, but wanted to convey to his family how sorry I am for your loss.

Harold was a wonderful kind man who I knew when I was friends with his children but really got to know while in Kiwanis with him. He and Joan did so much for our club and the community. He will be greatly missed! You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Harold was a fine man with a quick smile, always a helping hand and just a fine guy in so many ways.
Gone From My Sight
By Henry Van Dyke
I am standing upon the seashore.
A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.
Then some at my side says: “There, she is gone!”
“Gone where?”
Gone from my sight.
That is all.
She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to destined port.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at that moment when someone at my side says: “There, she is gone!” there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout: “Here she comes!”
And that is dying...

Dick and family we are so sorry to hear of your dads passing......My dad worked with
him for many years at GM in tool and die....Dick you look just as hansom as your dad.
Now we know where the looks came from....Francis would talk to Harold often at work.
He was a talented man and a person of good morals. If he worked with my dad they
had many a good laugh. Hopefully they will have a good chat now. Rest in Peace
Harold. May God comfort you in your grief. God Bless you . .Thank you for sharing the beautiful picture of him. Sincerely Francis and Patricia Badlam

I recall the many summers when I was young spent at Uncle Harold and Aunt Joan house. Uncle Harold always had a smile, a story and a great heart. In later years he played chauffer so many times to enable Mom to see her sisters. She loved those visits so much. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Aunt Joan, Richard, Jimmy, Carole and rest of the family. Although Ellen and I won’t be able to be at the service, please know we will be there with our thoughts and prayers.
